My husband had worked with Jeff Dueck before Jeff went into real estate and so when Jerry (my then boyfriend, now husband) had mentioned he was wanting to buy a condo, Jeff had sent him to his wife Sherie. Sherie was nothing but patient with my clueless first time home buyer boyfriend, going over all the separate fees and costs that went into purchasing a condo and not only that, but picking him up and driving him around to all the locations as well since he doesn’t drive. She recommended good lawyers to deal with the paperwork and got him good bang for his buck. Fast forward years later when we got married and wanted to upgrade to a house, selling my husband’s condo was no easy task. Many problems with the buildings infrastructure caused buyers to turn away due to future construction to fix said problems. We had the condo “sold” 3 times, when all buyers backed out due to future costs  of infrastructure problems. To say we were frustrated was an understatement as we’re looking at houses, falling in love and realizing that the condo deal had fallen through, then making us, have our hearts broken over having to pass up on amazing houses. Jeff had gone up and above what I would say any other real estate agent would’ve done and actually attended the condo’s board meeting in place of my husband to find out exactly what the buildings problems were, how long it would take to fix and how much this would cost each individual condo owner. With this knowledge he was able to negotiate with the current interested buyer and finally, sold the condo. With the condo sold, we began to seriously look at houses and one day Jeff had said to us, “You’re going to buy one of the houses we look at today.” My husband, sceptic, didn’t like any of the houses we looked at, and I immediately fell in love with one. The one Jeff knew we would buy. We went for a second look a couple days later and my husband agreed, that this was our future house (the one Jeff picked no doubt). We asked Jeff and Sherie what they think we should offer, never once did they give us an outlandish number just to increase their commission and told us what their honest opinion was based on facts and numbers for what in the area sold for. We submitted our offer and apparently they only accepted our offer just because Jeff & Sherie promised our financing would go through the next day.
